Multifunction displays can bring charts, navigation data and information from compatible systems into one interface. Radar, sonar, AIS, autopilot, camera and automation features depend on the model, software, accessories and integration. None of these features detects every target or guarantees steering accuracy better than one metre under all conditions.

The selection below records models presented in the original edition; it is not a current ranking or recommendation. Confirm documentation and system compatibility before purchase or installation.

Garmin GPSMAP 8624

The Garmin GPSMAP 8624 was one of the models featured in the original edition. Charts, sonar, radar, cameras, autopilot, connectivity and automation require checking the specific version's functions, connected equipment and installation requirements. Route calculation features do not replace navigation planning and verification.

Garmin display split into four sonar views, with seabed returns and underwater structures.

Raymarine Axiom XL

The Raymarine Axiom XL range also appeared in the original edition. Dimensions, video inputs and outputs, peripheral control, charts, radar, cameras and digital switching vary with the version and system. Check each feature in the corresponding manual and compatibility matrix, including the intended radar connection.

Simrad NSO evo3 IPS

The Simrad NSO evo3 IPS was another example in the original selection. Screen layouts and integration with sensors, charts, cameras and automation should be designed for the operation and checked against the documentation for the models involved. Integration is not a safety guarantee and does not remove instruments or methods required for the vessel.

Wonder BOAT recommends having all equipment installed by a technically qualified professional for your SAFETY, who can also explain correct operation to help avoid installation errors or misuse.
