Hey, boating lovers! How are you?

Every boat has its story, but few reach a new level without innovation. Lobo do Mar looked ready: size, presence, structure… yet it navigated at the mercy of outdated electronics, old sensors and systems that fell short on safety and real precision.

Rafael Casagrande, a lover of fishing and boating and a sea wolf, shares his perspective after realizing that, beyond navigating, he was also fishing in the dark.

"I often say: there is no point buying a big motorboat without the electronics and equipment needed for navigation, especially sport fishing. Often it is better to have a smaller motorboat and invest in electronics. We are proof of that." — Rafael Casagrande

A surgical challenge: when a retrofit is a matter of honor

A real retrofit is not about replacing a screen: it is about rebuilding the boat's nervous system. Every wire, sensor and new display is a guarantee of mastery.

"We fish here in the most difficult place in Santa Catarina, if not one of the most difficult in Brazil, in Balneário Camboriú. To reach the drop-off here, we navigate for 7 hours. The result? We get good results; we have proven it."— Rafael Casagrande

Total transformation: when technology becomes a competitive advantage

An ecosystem of precision entered the scene:

  • Garmin GPSMAP 1243xsv displays at strategic points (flybridge, saloon and fishing cockpit)

  • Fantom 24x radar for any kind of weather and sea

  • Panoptix PS70 transducer with the Live Vü function (live sonar), ideal for seeing fish movement in real time

  • R109LM transducer with CHIRP technology: fish confidently in less time with an extraordinary range of 3,000 meters

  • GC200 cameras monitoring the engines; surveillance matters

  • Smartcraft integration with Mercury engines, for total control

  • Autopilot, electronic compass, NMEA2000 backbone

  • SIONYX night-vision camera at the bow, perfect vision even at night

  • Navigation display mirrored directly on the saloon TV — everyone on board follows the fishing and the route, with total transparency

"An updated nautical chart with good-quality sonar gives you precise bathymetry when changing course, navigating along the coast or entering channels. I have fished with an outdated chart… it showed one depth, but when I got there the sonar showed another. This is an important factor."— Rafael Casagrande

After: safety, control and added value

It is not just a beautiful panel; it is the boat's brain. With it, you navigate confidently, fish with surgical precision and increase the real value of your vessel. More than technology, it is what ensures real stories and moments that become legends for those on board, family and friends.

"When fishing over offshore reefs, I trust my equipment 100%. My sonar. It is impossible to do this kind of fishing without good sonar. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. Good electronics are what separate anglers who catch fish from those who return empty-handed."— Rafael Casagrande

"Since I started using Live technology, I can no longer fish without it. I can see the fish in real time under my vessel. I know, live, what is happening."— Rafael Casagrande

And of course, premium technology only makes sense if it delivers what matters most: "The perfect day at sea? A good family fishing trip. The fish are a consequence. What matters is being with the people we love, doing what we enjoy."— Rafael Casagrande

A striking fact

More than 70% of incidents at sea are caused by negligence, lack of skill and recklessness, according to the Brazilian Navy, and are directly related to old, poorly integrated or underused equipment.

And you?
