On this memorable day, we shared information, practical knowledge and expertise, and answered questions about the benefits, advantages and savings of preventive maintenance compared with corrective maintenance. We discussed real situations encountered in field service and demonstrated the technology available in electronic navigation equipment, focusing on SAFETY, COMFORT, INFORMATION, TECHNOLOGY and PEACE OF MIND for everyone on board. Examples included multifunction displays, GPS chartplotters, depth sounders and sonar, radar antennas, VHF/SSB radio, AIS — the Automatic Identification System — and integration between systems from different brands.
