The Ocean Signal rescueME MOB1 is a personal AIS beacon with GPS and a DSC transmitter. When correctly fitted to a compatible inflatable lifejacket, lifejacket inflation can activate it; manual activation is also available. Immersion alone does not describe its activation mechanism.

The manufacturer specifies a seven-year battery life and more than 24 hours of operation under stated conditions. Check battery expiry, lifejacket installation and AIS/VHF receiver compatibility. DSC features and permitted use vary by country; confirm local requirements before purchase. The beacon does not guarantee rescue or replace emergency procedures.
